Honey, I’m home!

One of my favorite movie is Pleasantville.

It’s a philosophical film about freedom, society and will.

One of it’s high point is the “Honey, I’m home” scene,

Where William H Macy gets lost because everything is not as it’s always been.

Him, going home from work expecting diner,

His wife waiting for him, something ready in the oven, and smiling like a flower.

But now that they’re both working, who’s waiting for them at home?

Chinese food, pizza coupons or, if they’re rich, a waiter called Jerome?

We may now learn from social evolution that our eating habits are a total mess.

I highly need a catchphrase, everybody has one in the US.
