Today I’m going to break a taboo,
Talking about money and too bad if you boo.
I have no idea of any average American salary
But I must say in films, working people’s everyday life is quite extraordinary.
Take The Holiday, where Kate Winslet is a journalist in charge of weddings
I know, she is in London but it’s a US movie. She owns quite nice belongings.
How she got a cottage, expensive car, nice clothes, isn’t said in the screenplay.
Then, she decides, overnight, to spend her holidays in L.A.
About plane tickets, cab fees and other expenses she couldn’t care less!
I actually need a catchphrase, everybody has one in the US.
